I love beer and football, even if the former isn’t exactly diet-friendly right now.
And sadly, college football season is coming to a close, so to celebrate the last two games of the Badger football season I hit a Badger-bar this weekend for the Michigan game and next weekend I’m headed to Evanston to see them play Northwestern.
Yes, I do love college football. That and I can’t say no to a 32 oz. beer for $7 at a bar that puts fresh duct tape on the seats before the game starts. That’s MY kind of place :)
College football has a ton of rivalries but the Michigan/Wisconsin game is a big one. Why? Because fans of each team hate each other. The only team I dislike more than Michigan is Ohio State. That’s how we roll in the Midwest.
But I do have a lot of friends from Michigan so TC, her friend Marie and I put our team alliances aside and watched the game together at a Wrigleyville bar. As you can see, it’s my kind of crowd :)

At the bar, I also learned that I can easily make guys buy shots for me and my friends, all with power of my eyes.
I wish I knew about this power earlier!
I’m not trying to be narcissistic but I do have big eyes that I try to play up with slightly tinted contacts and lacquered-on mascara (without looking like Tammy Faye).
So a drunk guy stumbles over to our table and begins to slur/talk to us. He starts with TC and Marie and when he looks at me he stops talking.
Him: Wow your eyes are blue
Me: Yes they are
Him: They are like really blue
Me: Yes
Him: They’re beautiful
Me: Thank you, that’s very sweet
Him: They are…striking….
Me: Thank you!
Him: I’m going to buy you guys some shots
And then three shots showed up. I know what you’re thinking, he’s married, but I’ll take a compliment where I can get it.
Whatever power my eyes have over drunk guys, I need to harness it, especially when I want a makeout session or shots. I guess the eyes are more powerful than the boobs.

I don’t mind football too much as long as it’s not on the TV at my house. :)
As for my best feature, I would say either my eyes (green) or hair (curly). Although with my hair, far more women want to touch it than men. Which I’m sure pleases my husband.

BTW, I think EVERYONE hates Ohio State and Michigan fans. It’s a common hatred down in the South too.

yay for free shots! my best feature has always been my hair. I’ve had guys literally stop me in the middle of a crowded bar just to tell me my hair was amazing. I’ve never gotten free shots with it though.. hmm…
My husband … HATES all teams Michigan. And whenever I think of Michigan, I think of that ill-fated timeout Weber took way back when that led to UNC’s National Championship victory. So, yeah, if I were seated with you in that bar, I’d be pulling for the Badgers, too.
I noticed your super blue eyes when I met you too. I was going to say something, but was already being weird enough (or disgusting) by having my mouth full of food.
for some reason, CBS in Minnesota decided that 3rd Rock from the Sun reruns were better than Steelers-Bengals AFC North showdown today :( so I got to listen to my favorite sports team over the expensive internet radio while my mom was AT THE GAME.

I’m an ILLINI and we LOATHE Michigan. My gf is a Penn Stater and she can’t stand Michigan either. I think all Big Ten schools hate Michigan w/ Ohio State coming in close second.
Let’s not even talk about the hatred for OSU. I am a heartbroken Hawkeye over here and I wish Columbus would just disappear.
I’ve thought about deleting anyone on my facebook friend list who has a ‘smelling roses’ status update. Except due to my stupidity and attending college in Ohio, about half of my friend list are Ohio State fans.

No one has ever bought me a drink because of my eyes. I think it’s unfortunate that you can’t cover up brown eyes with blue contacts – I’d like to have some “striking” blue eyes for a day!
I was pretty thrilled to see the Badgers stomp all over Michigan. Bowl season is going to be good this year!

LOL, and before you think he’s being racist or something, he’s also asian and an international student…:D
In asian countries, getting the double eyelid surgery is pretty common, one of my friends had it done…
And I love hanging out with a bunch of friends to watch hockey (the NHL kind). I’m a WingNut! ;)
